We're on Chromjuwelen + some other info

We've joined the Chromjuwelen family today.  One of our favourite websites Chromjuwelen also aggregates a number of motoring blogs on its site; we now sit alongside some great content from other worldwide sites.

Whilst we're talking about 'behind the scene' stuff, I'm going to be giving the site a little aesthetic massage in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that.

We have a couple of new features on the way as well as getting back to more regular posting now that we've got some more time on our hands again.

Thanks for keeping with us, we hope we're providing you with what you want.

Hot hot hot off the press is Rmad's report on Bromley Pageant.  This time yesterday he was at the event, now you have 20 pages of images and a report to look through.   That is technology working right there,

We have another couple of features on their way, including DarrenW's distillation of the 6500 images he took at Worthersee.  It is going to be epic.  Also, if we can decide what pictures we need to use in a timely manner there will be some Berg Cup coverage forth coming.

Not only do we bring you all the best of the world of retro cars, as well as some great features, but we can now bring you a shiny new desktop image.

It looks like this, only bigger

The photography is by Simon 'Rmad' Coulson and was taken during our trip to Japan.  The car is a Nissan 330C 4dr Hardtop with air suspension and a V8 engine transplant, it is cruising home on the high way to Tokyo after a day at the Nakayoshi Hot Olds Meet.  Nice!

The backdrop is available in a variety of sizes, just hit the links to download your required size :

RSM Backdrop 1 1600x1200 (488.47 kb)

RSM Backdrop 1 1280x1024 (333.41 kb)

RSM Backdrop 1 1024x768 (202.00 kb)

RSM Backdrop 1 800x600 (128.44 kb)

Grab it whilst it's hot. There will of course be more background images in the future. If you've got any car requests, drop them in the comments section and we'll see what we can do.

As promised a recounting of my adventures at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2008 press day is online :

I'll take this chance to tell you about some up coming things we're doing on this site.  We shall soon have some lovely background images for you to download and prettify your computer with.  We will also soon be adding a page where you all of the links for blog entries that can be considered a 'series' will be collected together for easier reading.  Obviously we are also working on more great features and some very cool blog entries.  Thank you for reading so far... tell your friends about us.  Even the ones that don't like cars.

Retro Scene Mag Features are Online

We always promised that Retro Scene Mag would be more than this blog, so we are pleased to announce that the next phase of this project is live.

So without further ado go and check out our new features area.

As with everything we're doing we're simply making it up as we go along, so it'll probably change over time.

We'll announce new features as they come online, in the mean time have a read through what we've done so far.

And it all went quiet....

Please excuse the radio silence for the past week.  We're endeavouring to get our features section up and running in the next few days so some effort has been diverted towards that.

Normal service will be resumed momentarily.

In the mean time start collecting your pennies together for the Joe's Garage Auction
