RSM : Linklog 100409

At Easter time it is traditional to head out and hunt for Eggs, chocolate or otherwise, here at Retro Scene Mag we have chosen not to do that, we've chosen to hunt out some cool links to show you to add a bit of joy to your long weekend.

First up we have an old friend of Retro Scene Mag, DarrenW's Retro Motoring blog has been around a fair while and has recently started to get much more regular updates.  Darren is one of the people that helped get the Retro Rides website off the ground and has a huge amount of enthusiasm for all sorts of cars.  He is also a very good photographer with an outstanding Flickr photostream that is well worth checking out, 11,000+ images should keep you busy!

I'd also like to drop a link here for another friends venture, www.retrocartrader.com has been set up as a site exclusively for selling retro machinery.  Still in relatively early days it needs some good support, so if you are sticking something on a forum or on ebay for sale, throw it on here too and hopefully we'll end up with a good go-to place for selling and buying cars.

Recently we've been really enjoying the Air Mighty website.  It has an outstanding gallery, an up and coming forum, a nice blog/news area and enough links to keep you busy for days.  It is focussed on aircooled VWs, as the name would suggest, and the coverage ranges across Europe, so you really get a good taste for the whole European scene, not just one specific country.  Well worth an hour or so of your time.

Keeping it European, and gallery related, we are also enjoying Keep On Cruisin, unlike the previous site this has a much more American car focus, which is a strong scene in Germany, so expect hot rods and muscle cars as well as the more common Opel, Audi and Volkswagens that populate the German Youngtimer scene.

No linklog is complete without a video, and seeing as we have a kind of European thing going on this time, and we are heavy on the VW side of things, have a very low Beetle from Belgium :

Check out more of this kind of thing on the Radikalbugz forum
