Trends Week Wrap Up

I was going to talk about Pro Touring look today, but it has in part been covered by Rmad in the Tuck entry.  Really I think that a lot of these things are tied into each other, a move towards cars that perform and look great, a move away from small diameter wheels and of course the pursuit of the perfect stance.

A lot of what is coming out of Scandinavia is the Pro Touring style applied to smaller European cars, if you take a look at Lateral G and their feature cars, then consider the look, wheel fitment and stance of the car that won Retro Rides Car Of The Year 2008 you'll see some of the ideas that have filtered down, either consciously or unconsciously.

Obviously the proportions are changed, we won't be fitting massive 22 inch or larger rims on smaller European cars, but 17's should get the look nicely, a bit of tuck, some suitable tyres, nice engine upgrades and we're set.  At least in the looks department.

Of course we could be way out and none of this stuff happens, not that it would worry us too much, we do love a good surprise.
